From 8df553e0048733bab4bc85a6b76bcfd44c046e71 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Hiltjo Posthuma Date: Fri, 22 Sep 2023 15:16:44 +0200 Subject: Makefile: remove the options target The Makefile used to suppress output (by using @), so this target made sense at the time. But the Makefile should be simple and make debugging with less abstractions or fancy printing. The Makefile was made verbose and doesn't hide the build output, so remove this target. Prompted by a question on the mailing list about the options target. --- Makefile | 10 ++-------- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 8 deletions(-) diff --git a/Makefile b/Makefile index a03a95c..458c524 100644 --- a/Makefile +++ b/Makefile @@ -6,13 +6,7 @@ include config.mk SRC = drw.c dmenu.c stest.c util.c OBJ = $(SRC:.c=.o) -all: options dmenu stest - -options: - @echo dmenu build options: - @echo "CFLAGS = $(CFLAGS)" - @echo "LDFLAGS = $(LDFLAGS)" - @echo "CC = $(CC)" +all: dmenu stest .c.o: $(CC) -c $(CFLAGS) $< @@ -61,4 +55,4 @@ uninstall: $(DESTDIR)$(MANPREFIX)/man1/dmenu.1\ $(DESTDIR)$(MANPREFIX)/man1/stest.1 -.PHONY: all options clean dist install uninstall +.PHONY: all clean dist install uninstall -- cgit v1.2.3
